What version of megasquirt are you going to use? I'm just wrapping up my LQ4 in a 86 GN and so far I love what megasquirt ll can do!

MS3 Supports sequential FI. I like MSII as well (use it on my race car) but the capabilities of the factory ECU are also quite good.

That is nuts, a lot of fabrication involved there. Looks like an awesome project!

I gotta say, that is one of my favorite conversions. I have always liked the Kugel Components conversion.
Did you use anything from them?
Looks killer, great job.
Lookin forward to this build.

no. it is all built by me. the krugel kit is cool b/c it is all bolt in but the engine, tranny, and rearend must sit so low that the car sits up way to high. as you can see from the pic i have went out of way to tuck every thing up and get it even with body.

i wont have any updates till after turkey day but i can post some more previous work that you guys missed out on. most people are interested by this part.

i bought this engine off a guy that said he was going to swap it into this nova but gave up on the project. it was complete from oil pan to IM and acc and came with harness and ecu. paid 500 for it.

a couple months later after i got it into the car, megasquirt built, and wiring built. i started the engine. it seemed to run ok just had a high idle that i couldnt get down (1k rpm). but it smoked real bad. so i went to diagnosing that... in the end this is what i found....

rebuilt. stock pistons, rods, gm bearings, hastings rings, stock hg, stock head bolts. found a set of comp 918 springs for 50 bucks that i installed... whole rebuild cost me 300

i wanted to spend the least possible on rebuilding the engine i plan to switch to a 6.0 and build it later... i wish i would have bought the 6.0 originally now.. but to late for that.

since the rebuild i have only ran it for about 5 min total. i redid the alt bracket and alt type, had to remove the fans and install them on my DD, and cut the oil pan up. just recently got the oil pan back on, i need to get a new alt (the one i used for moc up had bad bearings), a new belt, and new fans.

the stock ls1 pan i was using had to be moded to get the rack in the right position. i did the cutting and modding. mogan performance welded it for me cause i dont do alum

Badass ride! Let us know what kind of times you run. This is the route I wanna go for my 01 Mustang. Already swapped the motor in and I am hoping for turbo next year.
