Default Looking for another Monza for an LS2 swap...

Well I miss my old LS1 Monza. I'm looking to start collecting parts but I need a car first! Anyone know where there is one like this? I'm going to do LS2 402 with a built 200-4R and 3.42 gears in a 12 bolt. I'm looking to run 10's and sound/act like a stock 305 for the stealth factor.

I was wondering what LS you were going to put in your next Monza, now I know.
Good luck finding one.

Default LS Monza

I have a 6.0 with LS3 heads,GM intake and carb,Comp XR281HR-12. I'm just building the headers. Turbo 350 with an 8" Neal Chance converter. Car ran 11 teens@117 with old school 406. I'm thinking 10.50's is doable. Car weighs 2850. I'd like to post pics over at h-body but can't get logged in. I tried posting pics here, no luck either. I'm not the best computer guy.
The old motor made 387 rwhp. I think the new one should be 450ish.

Aleck,

I loved your car when you brought it out to Quaker City Raceway a few years ago. Good to see your still at it.

Tippy,

I think I'll give them a call, just a little far from me though.

80Monzta,

Get your done already!! Your doing some good work there.

Thanks,

Bill

I had a light blue 79 Monza notchback with the V6 way back in 96. That would have been a pretty cool car to hang onto and do what Monza355 is doing. In fact Monza355, I think we were talking about the brand new heater core I was trying to sell a few years ago.

The booster is a 7" dual diaphragm booster from Summit. It is need to clear the coils if you keep them in the stock location. Works very well and has the clearance I need.

I am running the stock booster with my swap, just moved the last coil a tad to clear.

My buddy has a manual brake Monza (LS turbo swap too) and he would like to convert to power. Do you have a part number? What mods did you have to do to make it work? It would be nice replacement in case mine dies too. Thanks!!

Factory V8 car? I cut up my factory V8 stands and box welded them to use a '67-'72 C10 mount, then LS adapter plates.
