Yeah, mostly at Barona. I might go to Qualcomm a few times, but I have a feeling it will be a bit too quick for that. Let me know when you get yours running and we will meet up for a race.

Here are some update pictures. Just about ready to fire with the exception of a few fittings and the throttle cable bracket.

***The air filter that is on there is just for dust/dirt protection during storage and in the pits. I will likely run without a filter at the track.***

Yeah that's kinda my plan as well. Mostly Barona and a few times at the Q just for the heck of it. Ill run my turbo VW Jetta (street car) at the Q more I think. How long till you'll be ready to hit the track? I am looking at another month maybe two till ill be ready. Im down to run for ***** and giggles of it i'm sure you"ll get me though i'm only shooting for around 600rwhp. Your car is looking good I look forward to see it in person.

Started it for the first time last night!!

I had a new 12an bung welded in the fuel cell and got the leaks taken care of. Now I have to work on reducing the fuel pressure at the regulator. I am just blowing though the regulator right now and it is flooding the engine and killing it after a few seconds.

More videos and pictures soon.

Thanks guys.

I have a feeling this will be quite the handful at the track. I am going to try and work the travel limiters and shocks to control it....but I may have to put some training wheels on it.

I've dropped quite a bit of weight off the nose and I'd rather have wheelie bars than dented headers or cracked oil pans.

That is a cool car. I didn't realize you bought that off of Kevin. He put a lot of work into that car. I hope you keep it going.

I will subscribe to this thread.

My carb guy says a carb will flow better with a air filter on it vs no filter at all. He said it directs the air better coming in the carb. Just a thought.

I plan to give it a try with a filter and without to see if there is a difference. I figured I'd just barrow one for a few passes and then pick up something nice if it is worth while.

My new starter finally arrived so I am going to throw it in the car tomorrow and see if I can finally get this car finished. I replaced the fuel regulator with a Magnafuel dead head style regulator and it is holding pressure fine.

If the car finally starts tomorrow, all I have left is to swap the front brake lines and finish fabbing up some bullet mufflers to hang off the headers.

It should be fine on motor with a PG. I have a th400 with a low 1st gear and about 600 fwhp and my car only pulls the wheels about 12"-16". I think the PG will keep it calm on motor.
On the spray you might need to control it with a progressive controller or travel limiters.

I will be hitting mine with 125 shot right off the line. When we step up to a 200-250 shot it will be coming out of the hole on about 50% and ramping it all in after about 2-3 sec.

Did you get a power master starter? Mine has been great so far. It has held up for two years with no problems at all.

Yeah. They aren't cheap pieces, but at the same time a stock one was $150+.

I'm in escondido and putting a forged lq4 into my 94. Send me a PM sometime. I'd love to come see the car up close and/or at the track! I've got a build thread on here as well. Car looks great! Where in SD are you?

The car is located in the SDSU area. I plan to go racing in March, but that depends on parts. I will likely be going to Barona for a T&T.

My new starter arrived Monday and was broken in the box because of UPS (looked almost like the box was run over). It makes for another week delay while the new one is shipped.
