Thanks. Yeah it was about 50 and real windy yesterday. The 60 foots sucked because i couldnt leave on much boost. The track sucked damn cold weather.

bad *** man..congrats.. im so close to being done.. is that a gen III or gen IV .. i just put a 4.8/5.3 in mine Gen IV .. ur making me wanna push a lot of boost to it.. seeing this.. yes time numbers? im interested in the mph..

It's a gen III 4.8 LS6 cam,LS6 intake with 317 heads.

nice car.. and looks like it moves. id love to see what kind of power its putting out. makes me think what my 65 chevelle ls2 6.0 built 4l80e turbo would do. im only running 8psi and i put out 575 rwhp and around 580 rwtq

I read about some turbo builds and it makes me unsure of what route to go. I still think Whipple...the whine, instant tq, and the exhaust through headers. Guess I'll decide when I get to that point...

Yes that 2nd pass was the fastest the car has ever gone. I broke the driveshaft on the 4th pass.

Why did you switch to the 4.8? Did you blow up the 6.0?

I shook the main bearings out of my 5.7 twice. I got a new converter and installed a mid plate, put a 5.3 in it shook the mains out of it in 2 1/2 passes. So we figured out it was the crank adapter. So i bought a new converter with a ls1 snout on it and put a junkyard 4.8 bottom end in my car and have made 25 or more passes. The new converter fixed the problem.
