Mixing and matching 4L60 and 5.3?? I plan on putting a 5.3 4l60 in my 53 Chevy. I've found a great deal on a 20K mile 2009 4L60. I've also found a low mileage 2004 5.3. Would I be looking at any issues with mating the 2004 5.3 to the later model 2009 4L60? Or should I just buy the motor and put a 700R4 (older model with no electronics) behind it.
The trans comes with the harness, intake, ECM from the motor. Guy only wanted the motor for a carbed 5.3. So I got things I could sell to make back some money.
The motor also comes with ECM, harness, accessories. So I would end up with 2 harness and 2 ecms.
Also, how does $1K bucks sound for a 10K miles 5.3? I've seen them cheaper, but it's hard to come to an avg price on one.
