I have a BP harness and when I connect the brake light switch the car starts but wont stay running If I disconnect the switch it starts and runs fine, I know there is a light blue and white wire which is supposed to get 12v when the brake pedal is pressed my question is why in hell do I need this wire, the car has a TKO 600 transmission and I don't have cruise control. Can I just connect it to a 12v switched source and call it a day? Please don't tell me to call Bill at BP he doesn't answer the phone and also does not respond to emails.
