How is the MaxJax holding up?

I had mine installed for 3 months while I worked on the Vette's motor - it helped out in too many ways to list - probably the best tool I have ever bought.
Thanks for replying

I think, I should have ordered them in black for a nicer look while cruising.

The max jack gets a workout, with family and friends.

I even worked on my riding mower, raised that sucker for a good scraping / cleaning and changed the belts.

I timed it, it picks the Catalina up at the same speed empty.

She's back home with new 3 inch dual exhaust with X pipes, drive shaft, brake lines, master cylinder, power steering lines and many small things.

She has to be lowered, it stands 11 inch high, factory height is 7 inchs but I'd be happy with 8 or 9.
Rear tires are 11 inches wide, fronts are 9 1/2 inches wide.

Default hubs

What did you use for wheel hubs on the front and also did you alter the ride height to fit the 20 inch rims?

Default Same Project Any Tips?

I'd like to say this is a great project you have. Always wanted to do a resto on an older B Body that outside looked like a true classic on the outside but with all modern updated interior creature comforts and and an underhood combo to match.

I just picked up a 68 Catalina myself that I'm looking to do a mild build with decent horsepower(350-400) as a daily driver. Looking to go the route of the LQ4 with the hot cam, ported L92 heads and
stock LS6 intake with the 4L80E tranny. I was thinking of using the fuel tank from a 90's model Caprice or Impala to keep an updated fuel delivery system. My question is what modifications (if any) did you have to do to the crossmember to get the LS in these B Bodies? Also will the stock LQ4 oil pan work on this swap without modification? I'm not looking to lower the car and live in an area where it's mostly highway driving so having the pan low really isn't an issue.

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Any names or numbers on the calipers? What's the rotor diameter?

Photobucket burned the entire internet when they decided that free hosting for pictures in this manner wasn't working for them...

Your choice is either re-upload them directly to LS1tech or pay Photobucket...

Rear brake kit (11 rotors) was made by Wilwood, I ordered their closest kit, than worked with them by sending pictures of adjustments they needed to make. I try to find the info.
Front brakes are 13 inch rotor, Corvette C5 calipers, spindles are from a C3 vette Thicker the originals. The brackets for the calipers are home made.

No idea the origin of the front rotors? I almost thought C3 Corvette but doubt they used that big a rotor on them. Not Wilwood?

I saw the PM you sent. Interesting stuff! Not sure how it applies to your car. Is it made in Canada?

If you use Firefox or Chrome, you can install a "photobucket fix" add-on that will make the old pictures reappear. I have the "fix" installed on Firefox, and when I go back to the start of your thread, I see all of the pictures. (Well, almost all. There are some pics that must have been moved or deleted at some point, but the majority of them show up.)

For the long term, you may want to log-in to your PB account and download all of your pics so you can host them somewhere else.
