I'd like to go this route if they'd fit my 71 Cutlass conv. Anybody know?

In my G8 - the engine is mounted kind of low - and it has a huge *** oil pan - 9.5 qts or something like that... makes for an expensive oil change.

I have SLP long tube headers on mine - and love the sound.

Can't really help you out fitting in an A-body though.

Well, if you can't even answer the question, at least give me something!!

Do you like them? Any dyno data? Would you do it again?

Any particular reason for the G8 header instead of an A-body header?
Kooks makes them for the a-body swap http://www.kookscustomheaders.com/show.php?pid=867

Sad to say - the SLP headers and Corsa exhaust makes my G8 sound better then my vette.

I chassis dyno'd the Vette and the G8 back to back...

Vette put down 375/374 and the G8 put down 360/370.

Not bad for stock tunes on both....

Yes. I don't like tube headers hanging low. I hate hitting speed bumps. Further, I want a cat. I've had TPI/LT1 engines in the cutlass the last 20 years and w/o a cat the exhaust really stinks. I've been told modern free flowing cats don't cost much power wise so I want to install one. I was thinking of trying DT or JBA shorty headers for a 2010 camaro and the JBA catted midpipes, but thinking this might do even better if it would clear, given the larger tubes.

For anyone else looking, I found this dyno data on these installed here:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-g...m-results.html

looks pretty good; not too far from LT power output and a fair amount better than other shorty headers.

Looking at the pic, that first tube on both sides - Cyl 1 and 2 - both look to be hanging too low and will hit the crossmember. You may be able to get away with a notch.

I am actually using 98-02 F body Pacesetters...I will have to redirect the drivers side slightly but they literally load in from the bottom with NO effort at all. Fits perfect in both cases.
