Default Quick relay question.... Double check Removed Pins PLZ..

Ok im putting a 98' Camaro Ls1 into a 69' camaro. I have been following this link for wiring which is really nice.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...schematic.html

Can I use these relays from advanced auto?

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...ci_sku=5760055

It has the same 4 numbers 30, 85, 86, 87. But I have one question on the these relays it says pin 85 is for ground. Which is not the same as the diagram.

85 and 86 are interchangeable unless its a relay with a diode between the two poles. The diode is there to prevent reverse voltage due to the field in the coil collapsing. So yes you can use that relay. Just put the grounds on the 85 pin and the wire that is shown on 85 in the diagram would go on the 86 terminal.

It does not matter which one(85 or 86) gets the 12V and which gets the ground.

A couple of references...

Thx that was the answer I was looking for. I have another question while im redoing this harness. Can I get rid of all transmission related wires? Im running a powerglide. I was reading about that one of the trans wires had to be wired to the brake pedal? I have been using this pinout.

http://www.ls2.com/boggs/torques/98pinpcm.htm

I want to pull 3,22,25,34,35,40,45,61,62 on red
9,13,14,30,31,34,36,38,39 on Blue

Just want to double check with the guru's. I may use a/c later so I dont want to pull them. Any other wire I could remove would be great.

If I can get a double check on these wires before I pull them I would appreciate it.

The brake pedal switch connection is for lockup converters....press the brake, the converter unlocks.

You shouldn't need it.

You should still need the neutral/park switch.
