Default ls into a 95

i have a 2000 ws6 engine with wiring for a manual. i can get the ecu from that same car but i dont have a dash. i know someone selling a complete 97 dash. i wanna know will the wires work with it or will i need a 98 + dash.

i heard 97 should work but if not what will be needed to make it work?

When you say dash I'm guessing you are refering to the gauge cluster. You can use your 95 cluster. Any which way you do it the harness needs to be modified. Check the link in my sig for my swap details.

I would use the 1995 Cluster...it can be easily wired in.

Here is some info..

I have a 3.4 so the speedometer stops at 115 which will annoy me. If I modify my harness and there is a problem its gonna be hard to track down unless I buy one already made

How much do you know about wiring?

I've built all of my own Harnesses..it's really easy to track down issues cause I know exactly what wire does what..

I'm not electrical savvy. Looking at wire diagrams ect just gets me lost lol. I figured going to the 97 console (everything glovebox, gauges, AC vents, extra.) Would be easier and give me a 150mph speedometer.
