Default Aftermarket Harness - Oil Level Sensor - Oil Pan

Are any of the aftermarket harnesses using the oil level sensor in the oil pan? I am trying to decide on the Holley or Mast pan. Both are cast, but only the Mast pan has the mount for the factory oil level sensor. The Holley pan does have the boss for the bell housing cast in, just not the sensor mount.

Any thoughts between the two pans?

Thanks

Shannon

Unless your using the BCM to alert you of low oil level. You really can't use it anyway uless you have the BCM and factory Guage panel.
You can use the boss for an aftermarket oil temp gauge or something if you want. But most likely you should just skip it and flash out the code. IMO.

I'll have to check HPT tonight when I get home but I don't remember removing a code for oil level on any PCM's I've flashed. I don't use the oil sensor in anything I've built.

Short version - like Bczee said, you don't need it.
