Default 69GTO/LQ9-4L60E project update.

Here are the most recent photos of the project. I am in the midst of modifying the wiring harness right now. With any luck I should have it done by the end of next week. The next step is to get the fuel system plumbed, followed thereafter by buiding a trans crossmember.
Any input is welcome.

Default Hooray it runs!

After more than a year it finally runs. Yeah, so I took my time. A bit of tidying up and I should be able to take it for the maiden run tonight, barring rain.
I was very happy to find no leaks anywhere, no squaks and no rattles. The only problems were the p/s lines reversed and the fuel pump did not run until I gave it a rap.
Even better the stock GTO hood closes over the supercharger with a bit of brace trimming.

Thanks for the props. Took it for the first drive tonight. Few gremlins. Low on trans fluid, fans blew both fuses (too light), fuel pump may be defective. Engine seems very responsive, snaps up the RPM like crazy. Popped off the PS cap.
I have not yet hooked up the AC. I will use a factory hose from the pump then make whatever adaptation is necessary.
Nice to have it on the road!!!!

If you need pictures or parts recommendations let me know. I was able to use mostly OEM parts to make the swap. The biggest challenges were the trans cross member, PS pump and rebuilding the wiring harness. Brendan at LT1 texh did the computer for me, looks good so far.

Read a few of your post. Nice build beautiful car. You said you used mostly stock parts. What were they? I am putting a Lm7 into a 1967 Cutlass and unsure if I want to leave the truck stuff on it or go to Ls1 parts. Thanks Stephan

I forgot I even started this. I have used mostly OEM parts whenever possible for ease of service in the future. I used all of the truck accessory drive. The only clearance issues are the PS pulley and the rear of the AC bracket. Both are easy fix. Last winter I rebuilt and reconfigured the dash which required updating the electronics to the E40/T42 and 90mm LS3 throttle body. I again modified the truck harness for this. I am also using the B-body fuel tank with an aeromotive Stealth 340 pump.

The list continues to grow, so if you have specific questions feel free to ask. If you are in the ATL are you are welcome to come by an see the car for yourself.
