Just an FYI.
The Z bar mounts on the block came in 3 different positions. Directly on the 621 bell housing to several inches forward of that on corvettes.
On my 72 442, I moved the block side mount from the intermediate position to the bell housing mount for more header clearance.

my z bar mount was right above the oil filter in the block, and the scoggen dickey bolt on mount looks like it will put it right back in the same location...

To keep the trans in the stock location on a a-body I made my own mount.

it is just behind the ear that sticks off the block. Used a 621 bell and tied the mount into the bell to engine bolt and the bolt in the bell for a z bar.

works great and is a bolt on deal.
