Default Zr-1 Colorado

Planning on building a concept truck version of the new ZR-1. Engine,6 speed,wheels/tires,carbon fiber and of course the hood. Looking for a truck now and getting my ducks in a row. Got a few local sponsors helping out with it since the engine is so damn expensive. I could build a hell of a engine for $20k. But it would'nt be true to the ZR-1 without the ls9.Trying to get it built before the ls fest in Sept.

I'm not trying to make it like a corvette. I just want to use the ZR-1 package .

So you don't want to build a ZR-1 Colorado, you want to put an LS9 engine in a colorado, probably lower it and do some body work, then call it a ZR-1 Colorado.

Sounds like it would be a fun truck, but I wouldn't call it something it isn't.

If he uses the motor, t56, brakes, wheels and interior parts such as seats steering wheel maybe even work the console in wouldnt that be enough to call it a zr1 colorado without having to use the exact trans that a zr1 does?

imho it does but hey im easy to please and from what ive seen of his past work he does super clean swaps/builds so im excited to see this one play out.

I thought of buying the ls9 supercharger/accs drive and just build an iron 6.0 with ls3 heads.I would still have $14k or more in it. I'm going start to build the truck for now and just leave the factory engine it. It has to be taken apart and painted ,interior done, hood fabricated and rear end/bed fabricated to fit the 12" wide wheels. I'll just keep saving my pennies to buy the engine.
