Default 2002 z28 a4 eng/tran/ecu into 1999 z28 m6 problems

Having problems, I'm not sure what I'm missing, hopefully someone can enlighten me. I put the engine trans and ecu/wiring from a 2002 a4 z28 in a 1999 z28 m6 car.I have everything in and good, gone over it a few times. It's just not wanting to turn over, it has fuel. I don't have the neutral safety switch from the a4 shifter hooked to anything. I also unclipped the clutch switch, so it thinks it's depressed. I have to be missing something. I noticed the wiring that goes into the dash might need to be changed? The pins were in different places, between the a4/m6 harness. I still plan on going back to m6 so I don't want to do too much damage. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Did you unplug the clutch depressed switch. Cause that would need to be plugged in and depressed. Or jumpered not open.

Why would you switch an A4 in if you plan on goin back to an M6.

Yes, like I said, I took the clutch switch out of it's mount so it thinks the clutch is depressed. It is still connected electrically.

I'm running the a4 while I save up for some parts for this build. I have all parts for the m6, minus flywheel/clutch. I'm selling my built lt trans am conv. to fund this. Just going to be a stock car for a little while, at least until I get rid of the drop top.

When you say 'doesnt want to turn over' do you mean it wont crank or it wont start?

It will not crank/turn over. I don't hear any relays or anything, it seems like it's not getting the signal from the ign switch to the harness. I'm almost positive I need to re-pin the part of harness that goes into the firewall, just have no idea what to swap on those connectors. I'm sure someone has done this before...anybody?

You say you "unclipped the clutch switch so it thinks it depressed"....

Looking at the 1999 wiring diagram here, the clutch pedal position switch needs to be made up, or closed, in order for the starter relay to be energized.

I don't think your looking at the correct switch for the clutch pedal. The clutch safety switch is down by the pedal stop and is depressed when you push the pedal in.

Oh man, you sir, are correct. I wasn't even looking at the CSS, it was the switch at the top of clutch pedal travel that I was looking at. Man, I feel like an ***. I didn't do too much digging after I found the first switch as I was upside down in the seat of the car(drivers door blocked, crawled in from passenger side, I'm not a small guy). After your last post I went downstairs and sure as hell, found the actual clutch switch, and depressed it. Fired right up, beautiful. Much appreciated to all of those that helped!

Now the other question, what is the switch that is depressed when the clutch pedal is at top of travel?

Again, MUCH THANKS, Mike

Default clutch switch

The switch at the top of the clutch Petal is the "cruise Interrupt/Shift Anticipation" switch. Kicks off the cruise if you mash the clutch.
