Default 2002 5.3 in 1986 Chevy C10

I'm working on installing a 5.3L engine and transmission from a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe into a 1986 Chevrolet C10...will be working on removing the engien and trans from the donor car today..

Im sure there have been alot of LSx swaps done but any tips and hints that will make this swap easier please feel free to share.

Default c10 swap

It may be easier to pm me your questions. A dbc harness is just as easy as a dbw if u have all the rite parts. The drive shft will need to be extended depending on which tranny was used prior to the swap. The 5.3/4l60e performs better than the 350/400th combo with better gas milage. Headers are an issue. Most c10 lsx swappers had to trim the frame rail. You will run into little hurdles but good luck n have fun.
