72 Camaro LS6/T56 Swap Help
I've been a big fan of muscle cars for years...finally can't deal with carbs anymore. Looking for some help getting started with my swap of a ctsv ls6/t56 into my 72 camaro. if anyone has done this and cares to help with pics advice and other info i'd appreciate it.

When you did your swap did you use the factory harness or did you purchase a painless harness to make life easy. I've been told I should purchase a new gas tank with a fuel pump mounted in the tank, but if I can avaiod an $800 gas tank that would be nice too. Did you have to do any accessory relocation? Any pictures? What are some of the things I should look out for?

Post some pics of the 79. I called down to Street & Performance and they were helpful. After speaking to them they made it seem extremely easy. In fact those were his words when I told him the swap details. They did an 80 firebaird and posted pics and discussion.

apparently they do a boat load of swaps and installs. I plan on doing a throttle by cable over wire install. I hate electronics and those hideous pedals

When i bought my engine i was able to get the complete harness with it. I found wiring diagrams/Pinouts online and converted the harness myself to save $$. For the gas tank i left my stock tank and just put an inline fuel pump with the corvette filter/regulator, works fine! And for acc i used the stock ones. Engine was out of a 98 T/A. Look out for crap motor mount adapter plates!!! I got the carshop 1" setback plates and used clamshell mounts and motor just sit right in.
