i have a "block" on the back of my compressor that 2 lines go to and in having trouble sealing the block to the compressor.. i have used 2 different sets of 4th gen gaskets and they both still leak oil!?! am i missing something and this is the block

You mentioned using 2 different sets of 'gaskets', are these gaskets or o-rings? These types of a/c compressor fittings are designed to use o-rings and the o-rings should NOT be installed dry, lube them with fresh, clean compressor oil.

Read the description for this fitting, it's the same as yours but in a horizontal style (notice the reference to this fitting in your link)

Crawled under the car and looked while it was running.. Turns out it is not leaking from the block, it is leaking from the compressor itself by the real lower bolt because I can see it bubbling... Guess I need a new compressor
