Default ls3 for 69 Camaro

Hi, I'm a newbie here and have a couple of questions. I am finally tired of the big block in my 69 Camaro, and ready to go LSX. I'm stubborn but not stupid!! Anyway, wondering if I could find an LS3 out of a 5th Gen Camaro or another vehicle for a reasonable price, or would it be better to buy a crate. I realize there will be plenty of expense to do this with headers, accys, etc. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. By the way, love the site!!

Would another engine, such as an l92, be easier to come by and reasonably priced?

Get reading dude! All 'n all, a crate LS3 or better can be a good deal if you're used to buying Porsche parts. But if you're less than rich like myself, check out the LY6, and yes an L92 is likely to be more reasonably priced.
