I am having problems running a 100 amp alternator anybody know what the amp draw is on a vintage air gen iv system

Total amp draw, including the compressor clutch is only about 20 amps. The engine controls draw way more than the A/C. If A/C is really your only big accessory draw, then 100 amps should be more than enough, but you can get a 140 amp version of the old reliable Delco design SI alternator. I think that is more likely that the alt is not putting out what it should.
