Default How do I wire this 02 connector/alternator wiring ??

I have some C5 02s and I'm going to solder Fbody connectors to match my harness.

The Fbody connector is red, black, tan and blue.
The C5 is brown, brown, tan and blue.
I think maybe the two browns are heater and it doesn't matter what way they are wired...am I right?

Also I'm using a C5 alternator. The connector plugs right in to my Fbody harness is the wiring(one wire LOL)in the same location.
Thanks in advance

Dont cut and solder unless you have to. Depin and switch is much easier

Find the pinouts for the two and move them one at a time ignoring colors

The pins are different. I don't think I was very clear.. I am working with the actual O2 sensor and not the harness.
C5 O2 up top Fbody connector under it.

Dont attempt to splice the HO2's themselves. They use stainless wire which solder wont stick to at all. Youll be forced to use butt crimps which are never permanent

Mouser.com

If you're going to splice it, use on the harness is ideal

F-body
Tan:HO2 Low signal
Purple:H02 High signal
Pink:Voltage supply
Black:Ground

What year C5 is the O2 sensor from? I looked at both 98' and 02', and they list the same schematic.

I beleive the alternators are the same and you won't have any trouble, I read a thread on here that someone swapped their F-body alternator for a truck one and there were no mods, so I assume the C5 is the same way.

Hope this helps

The 02 is supposed to be from a 98 C5. I think I may just buy a couple of O2s and be done with it.
Thanks for all the info/advise guys

Grab some from a late 90's S10

Same signal, cheapest HO2 if you ever need to replace them
