Just an update.. car made 321/312 at the wheels. Only mods at the time were pacesetter headers and 220/224 .575/.575 112LSA cam. This was only revving to 5800 rpm. Since then I have re-flashed the pcm to run it up to 6700 rpm. Pulls very hard.

Thanks!
Carbed engines have a different powerband, typically less torque but more top end hp (mostly due to the intake differences).
I'd say any cammed 5.3 will make an easy 320 whp at a conservative rpm figure (under 6000 rpm)
If you're not afraid to twist one up toward 7000.. it will dance for you

Agreed. Especially now shifting at 6800 rpm....
The factory pcm has been giving me issues and nuking o2 sensors randomly every few months. About 90% made up my mind to go megasquirt so that way when I change part of my setup I don't have to spend money on dyno time and or tuning costs.

This car is going to get some updates soon!
Picking up an LQ4 short block..
More than likely will be a stock bottom end LQ4, L92 Heads, LS3 intake and a custom cam.
May splurge for a stroker setup if the crank is not salvageable
