Default 4l80e question...

So I put the shiftworks detent kit in to my 68 camaro. I have a 4l80e behind an LQ4 with LS3 heads.
You all know the gear selector lever that goes on the side of a 97-up 4L80E, the one that fits on the short shaft with the square mounting shape.

Tell me, it goes PRND21, but is that clockwise or counterclockwise? Like if the shaft is rotated all the way clockwise, that is park, right? I need to know because I'm hooking up the shifter cable.

Thanks!

Moving the lever counter-clockwise will make it go PRND321.

Yes, and no. In park the lever will be at the 7 oclock position. It will pull ccw to low gear at approx the 4 oclock position. I just went through this excercise. Be sure that you do not rotate into the more vertical planes since the cable will not be able to account for motion past the horizontal.

I actually did this myself and got it to work well. I don't understand all of the above posts, but would like to help.
