I am about done with a 5.3l/th350 swap into a 79 3/4 ton 4x4, and one thing I have left to do is my vss that was left in the harness and ECM flash.

The wires coming off the harness, (two twisted pair) and the two off this sensor (http://m.summitracing.com/parts/DAK-SEN-01-1) are different colors... How do I know which wires need to match? Or does it matter?

Whichever wire Dakota Digital says is ground, hook it to the VSS Low wire on the factory harness.

I don't know which one they said. Didn't cone with any papers only my reciept

did some researching through dakota digital. found what i am looking for on there manuals. thanks

what was the answer? i just hooked mine up and didnt bother to see if there was even a polarity so i dont know if i did it right.

dakota digital black wire, goes to the green/black stripe vss wire. low side like said above goes to the black wire on vss. then obviously other wire goes to the last one.
