Default 4.8 Pistons in a 5.3 Engine, Up Compression?

Being that the 4.8 and the 5.3 have the same bore, can I use the flat top 4.8 Pistons in my 5.3 (using the 5.3's connecting rods and crank) to up the compression?'

Or might I have Valve and piston clearance issues?

It bump it to somewhere around 10.4to1 you ptv clearance will be fine as long as your cam is not too large. Should be close to the ptv of an ls1 with stock flat tops.

Which LS1 Cam?
98-00 LS1 Cam with 202/210 @ 0.05" Duration and 0.496" Intake and Exhaust Lift OR
01-02 LS1 Cam with 197/207 @ 0.05" Duration and 0.467" Intake and 0.479" Exhaust Lift

Does anyone know what the deck height is between the piston and the top of the block on the 4.8L or the L33 (5.3 HO)?
