Default Newbie needs some advice / donor vehicles

i recently purchased a jeep yj and am seriously debating on an engine swap. i have so many questions i don't know where to begin . i just started looking at engines trans combos for a swap and wondered is it better to find a donor with or without harness etc. is it cheaper/better to have the factory harness modified and ecm reprogrammed, or to start fresh with a new setup. and if i was looking at buying a complete setup who makes a good reliable setup??? i have recently used a painless harness in rewiring an old jeep cj and their customer serv. seemed pretty good/ helpful when i had a couple problems. any input on good systems would be appreciated. then i would know what to look for. i found a 95 lt1 corvette engine mated to the 4l60e with all sensors ecm harness etc. with 60,000 miles for 2200.00. seems like a good deal. what do you think??????

For $2200, I would go with an LS/Vortec Engine.
