Default Ls1 conversion headers 68 firebird

i JUST JOINED UP! GLAD TO BE HERE WITH THE HUGE WEALTH OF INFORMATION YOU GUYS HAVE. I JUST GOT MY LS1/4L60E MOUNTED AND IM PONDERING WHICH HEADERS TO GO WITH. I WENT WITH TRANS-DAPT MOUNTS SAME AS S&P IM TOLD AND BOWTIE OVERDRIVES CROSS MEMBER. I WANT DESCENT GROUND CLEARANCE AND NO STEERING BOX CLEARANCE ISSUES. HERE ARE SOME PICS. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME RECOMMENDATIONS!

i think S&P makes them for your application.

finishin up my swap as well, into a 82 C10, the only header option for us are near $800 :/

i just used TBSS manifolds. they fit great.

i'm pretty sure the first gen's from them are 535 or around that. & no problem!

I,m using edelbroxk converion headers and BB mounts no clearance issues paid like 650 stainless steel and coated with their technicoat?

I ended up going with Hooker Super comp LS swap headers. I had to unfort dimple them around the PWR steering box. The engine just was not far enough back, but any farther there would have been issues with trans dip stick and wiring fitment. The engine mounts were Trans-Dapt. Kind of cheap.

The ground clearance is awesome though, they really tuck up high!!!! which is a plus.. The coating has not dis colored at all either.

Texas speed has SS long tubes for $500. Nice quality. They clear steering no problem. They do show below the frame rails though. I am happy with them.

I have the Dirty Dingo slider mounts, Dougs Headers and a Mast oil Pan kit
no fitment issues at all
Everything fits and tucks up great
