MAF Sensor Question
Im doing a LS swap into my second gen camaro and I recently came into a CAI kit for a 01 Silverado for cheap. My issue is that the MAF sensor that I have, from a 02 camaro, is not the same diameter as the MAF sensor for the trucks. (about 1/8 in. difference) I was wondering, since the truck sensor is larger, is able to flow more, and has the IAT built into it.
Could I use the truck MAF and wire in the MAF and IAT wires into the connector for the truck MAF and use that?

I don't see why not, I run a 5-wire MAF with the IAT wires cut and run to an F-body IAT. The trucks just have both sensors in on housing for simplicity's sake.
I'd recommend keeping the IAT separate. My 5 wire heat soaked quite badly and threw off my IAT readings by about 30 degrees.

The Silverado MAF is an 85mm MAF & is scaled differently than your existing MAF. The MAF table should be re-scaled (in the PCM) if you change to the Silverado (85mm) MAF. Can wire it as you wish.
