1991 z28 lSX swap (5.3L)
i started off with a bare 1991 z28 with a blown 305 ,i tore out the 305 and installed a 350 ,kept all my stock TPI setup ,and even used the stock t5 ,it ran perfect ,but just ended up been parked. Now im putting together a LSX swap ,I started with a complete 5.3L engine ,($300) came complete with harness, intake injectors ,everything . first thing i did was tear the engine down to just the block and heads, took the harness home ,removed all emissions ,rear o2 sensors ,auto trans connections, a/c ,everything i wont be using. I then went out and found a 6 speed out of a 1999 trans am ($600) very clean ,has no bellhousing , found flywheel ($50) ,LS1 intake with fuel rail no injectors ($246 shipped) ,i will be using the 5.3L truck throttle body as it is cable driven ,and this is where i am right now ,still looking for parts . I am needing stock LS engine mounts ,will buy frame mounts from spohn, injectors (stock) ,exhaust manifolds (stock) ,all front accessories (f body), i will go with LS fuel tank ,run Ls fuel line (will need minor mod) i do believe thats all i can think of right now...if any one has any of the above parts for sale ,please PM me ..thank you ...I will keep up to date as I proceed. by the way the engine, tranny is out of the 1991 z.

On The Tree
Post a video of the exhaust from the rear and some burnout vids too, your going to **** yourself when you see the fuel mileage that car will get with a manual trans on the highway!!! Was the Z28 an auto car or manual car before swap? if it was auto you'll have 3:23's if manual it will have 3:42's which is a nice all around gear for that car because its light!!! It should move decently!!! Get some pacesetter longtubes, take advantage of that exhaust, factory manifolds are power robbing mf's some cheap PS longtubes will make a huge diff..

pcm is tuned ,figured out o2 problem ,grounds were not hooked up, everything is running perfect ,no issues ,re- ran all my wires, looks a lot better than before ,I will post video soon. also just to answer the above question, it started with 5 speed manual, everything lined up ,ls1 clutch hydraulics bolted right up with no mods.
