Default I have a performance goal...should I go Turbo or N/A?

Having a hard time making up my mind guys. I have a 87' Buick Regal that weighs in at 3400# with me in it. I want to run mid 10's 1/4 mile.

Trying to find the most economical way to do that. I've been told Turbo a 5.3 and put N20 on a heads/cam 6.0. So what do you guys think?

I'll be running a TH350 trans with a brake either way. I like the idea of a Turbo since I've been racing my GN's for years. But looking for best bang for the buck here.

TIA

I say go turbo. Then you don't have to fill a bottle all the time.

Neither build will be exactly what you would you would call cheap to do right, but in all honesty mid 10s will be a relatively easy task no matter which route you choose to go assuming you have a decent drivetrain and suspension to help you put it to the ground. It will basically come down to if your wanting to fill a bottle every weekend when you go racing or not.

I've seen plenty of turbo 5.3s turning good numbers on here.

Both will get it there if done right. My 3400lb Nova runs 10.45 at 132 with a 70mm turbo (oddball MP GT45) on a 6.0.

Turbo 5.3, just keep in mind a good turbo setup will likely cost you 5 times what the actual 5.3 will cost.

Besides that you gotta add on suspension, fuel system, trans etc.
