Default donor ls1/4l60/pcm/harness into 2nd gen TA questions

does having the engine,trans,harness,pcm all out of one running car simplify the whole swap process ?

contemplating the running gear from my 98z going into my trans am and kicking the 400 to the curb....

I have tried to avoid making a post by reading in this section but cant find any posts where the engine/trans/harness/pcm all got swapped over together , it seems all the builds are using a mix of components from different vehicles , splicing harnesses etc- I realize there will be some of that involved to deal with powering a fuel pump , electric fans , ignition and things of that nature but if I am not opening up the engine and installing a total package that is allready working together am I looking at engine mounts wiring fuel pump & fans , disabling vats or is it much more involved still ?

Using everything from a running car is THE way to go. Still will be some aggravation but, the F-body LS1 set up is an excellent starting point.
