This is what I based my MAF placement off of.

Got the shifter and neutral safety installed, just needs minor adjustment and wiring. Gonna hook up the PLX while I'm at it, that way I can keep an eye on things while priming and first startup.

I'm asking $450 for the mounts, powdercoated and shipped.
And $1500 for the headers, ceramic coated + shipping. Kinda hard to get a price for shipping headers, they're bulky.

So I've had a couple members from different forums ask what I'd sell my car for, or to let them know when I get ready to sell it.dum
So, got me thinking. What if I made build to order swapped cars? Would there be interest? I'd be willing to do it for time and material, not looking to make a huge profit or anything.dum
I've got access to a lot of expensive equipment that most don't, so I thought I'd offer up my services.dum
Also, I can do more than just BMW's, I'm helping my dad with his camaro swap, and we were looking at doing a GTM eventually.dum

Pm me if you're interested and want to discuss further.dum

It lives!!!! (kinda loud, was done with my iPhone)
The high pitched noise is my electric fan.... It had been running for a bit before the vid.
http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/i...9/3e39c865.mp4

Got it started today. Have a couple coolant leaks, but quick and easy to fix.... Other than that it ran great!
I accidentally hooked the ECU to acc not Run, so it didn't turn off on the first click, but that's fixed already.
Also got the brakes bled.

I think the interest is there, but not so much the dollars. People love to talk but back down when you say what things cost, and that's just at YOUR cost, not adding in your time to get things done.

But if you have the time and passion it could be a fun road to an independent business. If you can get one or two customers and turn out cars they enjoy and get good word of mouth going among serious people you may be the go to shop to get things done.

Very awesome. The first real shake down run I had went fine... sitting in the drive way idleing though, the lower radatior hose blew off But too, a quick fix and has been fine since.

I bought a kit from Cone Engineering, but everything came in a Columbia river mandrel bending box.

If you put this thing up for sale for a good price, it will move. It would suck to send it down the road so fast, but on the other hand, you would have the capitol to invest in another project! Tough decision for sure!

Thanks for the heads up on the collectors!!

Nice work! Been following you over on BF too, you have the perfect motor/car combo. The rack and pinion in the lighter car along with the LS3 is just magic. I put a cammed LS3 in my 98 Z28 ...stunner. You'll get good MPGs and RAPE most cars at will. I sold mine WAY too soon. Drive it for a bit, enjoy it, then sell it...to me, when you need to fund your business.

Most will be tire kickers or will back down when money needs to move, BUT if you do it because you love it and stick with it, I think you can tap into a niche if you market correctly. This is exactly how LMR built their business. It can be done...and you certainly do the quality work needed to support it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'd wait to sell it until I have time to do another one... Just wanted to see what the market is like.

And the 45* elbow I ordered 3 weeks ago finally decided to show up.
Also waiting for a swaybar before the first drive... Don't want ANYTHING to go wrong.
