Default LS2 alternator

Will need to move my alternator and compressor to the top of the motor for my swap. Just want to confirm that I will need a new/different alternator before I try to sell this one? It is from a 2006 GTO.

Thanks!

Joe

Joe, If you are keeping the GTO/F-Body offset on your accessories then you don't need a new alternator. If you use the Kwik performance brackets you can use the compressor, alternator that came with your engine.

Deserttaco, appreciate the response. I plan to purchase a bracket set to relocate the alternator and the compressor (will purchase whichever compressor unit is needed to for a Vintage Air system).

I do have the complete engine/trans harnesses from the GTO.

The Kwik Performance brackets use a Sanden compressor.

Thanks for the help everyone! That Kwik Performance set-up looks like the ticket, and I can re-use the alternator and PS pump that came with the motor.
