I had my ECM mounted inside the pass fender between the inner fender well and the fender itself. Worked nice but was a PITA if you needed to get to the EMC for some reason or another.

BTW, love your car, Looks almost identical to mine

I am not 100% sure but I do know the LS engines sit a little lower in the vehicle than the old SBC did. I liked not been able to install the 1-1/8" sway bar due to the engine being in the way. I thought I was going to have to jack up the engine but finally it went in. Mark Steilow is running a rack and pinion with an LS7. Look up the "Red Devil" on the web and maybe you can find out what it takes to make that happen. That would be awesome to see and possibly a future upgrade for me as well. Let us know what you find out even if you decide against it.-- Thanks

I am using the stock F-body throw out/slave from a 2002 Camaro.

I dont have any issues with shifting or anything. I have heard of people having issues though. I figure if the factory GM cars came with this setup than it should be fine for us.

Gameover you gonna run the stock valley cover? If you plan on using the existing PCV routing expect to have considerable amounts of oil being pulled in the intake, runners, and directly into the cylinders. The factory PCV routing was a poor design until they came up with the LS6 valley cover that vents the pressure from the center of the engine rather than from the left side valve cover. If you are going to use your existing PCV routing, buy a catch can. I bought my LS6 valley cover brand new with a new gasket and bolts for $85.
