4.8 mustang
I have a 1987 mustang I used for a daily but it recently lost oil pressure. Now i got a whole 2004 silverado(with 4.8 and 4l603) that was rolled to its side for $450 minus bed, grill and front bumper. Now my mustang is a 2.3 5 speed hatch and I have access to an 1982 2.3 auto coupe for parts. The two questions I have for the swap is one is the t5 to 4l60 swap(I was thinking I can use the pedals and whatever I can from the auto mustang). The next is for the fuel pump because I dont really know what to do to get the gm computer to control the fuel pump or if I can swap in the trucks fuel pump into the tank.

I know about having to use the truck pedal... since you using the intank pump for a mustang are you using the mustang harness to control it or the motor harness.... I want to try and use most of the truck stuff I can since I have the whole truck... this is kind of a budget thing since im a college kid

Just now thought of this but Is the fuel pump just a keyed on source? If so does the truck have the regulator or something of that nature for the fuel I can possibly use?

three helpful words of advice for you:
search search search
this particular swap has been done multiple times on here, and there is a lot of useful information to be had. Do your self a favor and use the search button, or at least browse through the first 5 pages of this section...

The ECM controls the fuel pump, wire it thru a relay and you'll be good. Invest in the AJE crossmember, you'll appreciate the room for headers. Wiring harness help at www.lt1swap.com.
