Default 81 > 90 Caprice header question

I will obtain a 89 Caprice and plan on stuffing a ls1 or ls2/402 - 700R4 in it someday. The ol powerless 305 only has 62,000 miles and runs fine, but SLOW.

Reason for the 700R4 is I already have one. Or possibly a 4L80E ? Though with a 60/80E not sure about the cable actuated cruise and really don't want to change inst cluster.

I've done some reading / searching on Headers and read that some F body headers fit.

I have a set of Dynatech/Dynamaxx for a F body that I was thinking of selling. Though after reading/searching, I'll keep em and try them. In looking under the hood, there's ton's of space besides the 305 engine.

What brand headers have you Caprice swap guys been using for the 81 > 90 years ?

Wink

Generic f body headers fit. Slight mod to pass side lower a arm mount. Nothing major involved.
