yeah.. wonder if I can find one still out there ! LOL
would love to drop a 6.0L or 6.2L into it.. with a 4L80e connected to my NP 205 Transfer case... but that is down the road some.. but well keep an eye out for a deal on a engine/trans from an Express van...

I have a 1995 Chevy G20 Van that I would like to install a LY6 and 4L80 in.
Will there be any clearance issues with the Factory Air Conditioning? Should I use the truck pulley setup or will I need the Camaro setup for clearance? Will the stock LY6 oil pan work?

Good question on the AC compressor, we are all looking for answers .. But I think there should be room (??)
Most likely any truck or car oil pan will be ok.
The pictures of the Van that had one was using a stock truck Front Accessories. But most likely either truck or car Front Acc will work.
In my case, I have a custom built cross/K-Member so I am not sure of the AC.. If I ever get around to starting the swap.. I'll find out then.. My main concern is the rear Exhaust and the Frame/floor/engine cover area.. As with my SBC.. it is close due to the extra steel plates added on to the frame. But.. well have to find out once I do start..

Making progress
It's been ages for an update on the van. Now that I have Major Project Creep, seems the enthusiasm got the best of me. The old girl has made quite a transformation from last year. Started out rebuilding the F&R suspension, it has morphed some from there. The 350-350 needed work , so out it came. Old single leg 12 bolt had a seal leak, So I went a little crazy here. Replaced the rear with a 3.54:1 Detroit Truetrac Dana 60 35 Spline 4 wheel Disc , Ricks Walbro In-Tank Fuel Pump 35 gal SS tank. Currently you see her mouth wide open (So to speak) waiting for the 7.0 L with 4L80E. Wish me luck....I'm going to need It.

The 350 in my 1995 Chevy G20 Van spun a rod bearing today. I can't afford to do a LS Conversion, but was wondering what motor would be a direct bolt in with more horsepower and torque that uses the stock ECM?

Last of the Gen I SBC is the L31 350.. can find them in most trucks up to 99' and van up to the early 2002. (IIFC).. Also.. what about a LT1 Gen II ? it is still a SBC...
got one in my 99 Tahoe.. decent power. That would be a drop in (with the exception of maybe the Exhaust manifolds ?). At one time I was considering this one myself. But once I get the current project done, then I will look into a Gen III/IV or Gen I engine..

The L31 looks like a great option as long as I can use the stock ECM and wiring.
I had the LT-1 in my 1995 Impala SS and that is a great motor. The only problem is that the distributor is behind the water pump. In a van, that will be tough to work on.
Thank You for the info.

How is this swap coming? We'd love to see more pictures! A friend and myself are currently working on a 1979 G30 Pathfinder conversion and doing a 6.0L/4L80 swap into it and looking for more information on other swaps.
