Cool LSx Engine Run Stand rev2

http://s704.photobucket.com/albums/w...neRunStand.mp4

Only way to test an engine before installing it in a chassis.

After powder coating I will be installing my 6.0L.

the mounts are normal rubber mounts but the bell is hard mounted? shouldnt they both be rubber or hard mounted? you will be putting all the stress into the bell. looks good though i have been kicking around the idea to build one my self.

Even big boy engines don't move around much. I built it around a fully dressed engine so the rubber is compressed and everything lines up. Look at my other videos of the LQ9 to see how it fits with an engine installed.

Nice job, Anthony!
I was thinking of doing something similar, but at this point, I'm only concerned about oil pressure.

nice! I was thinking of doing something like this in prep for an LS swap in my 66 GTO. Unfortunately, I sold the car, but am still considering doing something similar for a 5.0/AOD in my 67 Mustang, albeit with a provision for a transmission and adjustable to fit different engine/trans combos.

Nice job Anthony! I like the new features.

I also love the "custom" plate cover so the guys plate number doesn't show up in your video. Hate to say but there are bad people out there.
