Default LQ4 6.0 in a 57 Chevy

Hi guys,

I installed an LQ4 in my 57 and it's running real well, except the last hurtle of a VSS. The trans i have is a Keisler RS500 5 speed manual, BUT it has provision for a ford VSS. I installed a ford VSS, and it is a different pulse than the LQ4 computer can read, so it is very low: 1 MPH=10 MPH, 2=20 etc. according to my electronic speedo and the scan tool. Is there a conversion to a different usable pulse for the ECM to be happier?

When programming the ECM, can you account for this ford sensor?

many thanks

You can change the PPM with tuning software to account for a different VSS.

I recently picked-up a 1957 150 2 dr sedan that I'm wanting to swap an LSx in. Would you mind sharing some details, such as:

What motor mounts did you use?
What exhaust?
Did you keep the truck accessories and water pump?
What radiator and hoses are you running?
What are you using for a fuel system?

Thanks,

Wes
