Default Impala fuel tank

I am interested in the Impala fuel tank to put in my 1969 Nova. I have heard these tank are pretty easily swapped with a little cutting of the trunk floor. How much exactly has to be cut in order for it to fit.

Not sure how helpful this is, but looks like you are using EFI. I called the following company today and they quoted me an EFI tank for a 67 Camaro w/ a walbro pump for $465 +shipping.

Their new tanks are baffled and already have the hole built in for their tray. Talk to their technical support and they can tell you more.

There is also this choice, but I've heard of fuel starvation issues at 1/4 tank.

Impala, Caprice, Roadmaster and Fleetwood use the same tank. The only one different is the tank for the wagons. Wagons have gas inlet on side and 2 gallons less in size.

Not ready sure that the tank will fit, the B-body tank is much larger.

Both are about 40" wide, but the B-body tank is about 6 to 8 inch longer (front to back). The fillers are both center rear, but being the tank is longer, you might have a problem with the filler neck.

As to cutting the floor of the trunk for the sender and tubes, a 9 x12 hole near the center front should do it.
