Project Twin Turbo 83 S10
Originally bought this truck as a DD parts getter. Was forced to get rid of my previous toy (2004 STI) and decided to do something with the S10. I've been working on this truck for about 2 1/2 years so a good bit of the beginning of this thread will be getting you all caugh up on what I've accomplished so far...
I bought this truck for $600 out of a wooded lot behind an old man's house. It was filled with mosquitos but I saw the straight body and bought it anyway...Unbelievably I was able to drive it home lol

Picked up a 4" cowl hood and started blocking the truck and stripping it down getting it ready for paint.
There was an unbelievable amount of mud on this f*ing truck
Home made paint booth lol
New tail lights, marker lights, bumper, grille, headlight doors, glass, mirrors, hardware etc.

Been thinking about finding a straight but dead S10 and doing a blitz black paint job with a 5.3 drop in. For a parts/house project rig.
Good luck getting it together! It looks great! You found a nice starting point. Good body. When you're doing a big time power plant upgrade like this, that stuff doesnt matter. Its gotta have good bones. Good find!

Thanks! It took a lot of work to get it cleaned up even having a relatively straight body to start with. My neighbors watched as I kicked the windshield out and stripped the truck. They thought I was crazy lol.

thanks guys, I cant wait to finish this damn thing lol.
here is the notch I had to cut to fit the 5.3. btw I used the jegs oil pan which is just a re-labeled H3 alpha oil pan.
Welded up all the un-necessary holes. You know, heat/ac, who needs that stuff?
Test fit
Had to "massage" the firewall a bit more lol but she went in like a glove
