Default Car intake on a truck with a truck water pump

I have always seen you must change the water pump to use a car intake. Tonight I'm setting my car intake on and put the truck t-body on and the water pump fit's. I needed to remove the tab for the cruise control off the t-body but it does fit and work perfect but it is a close fit.

I plan on rotating the water neck some but even if you didnt a small dimple would give you more clearance if desired. The truck motor is a 99 and the car intake is a early LS1 F-body intake.

FYI - The 2008 TBSS water pump will work with a car intake also. Click the link in my signature and look for the pic in post #7.

U can run the ls1 style but u got to switch the pullet to the truck one, or buy pump spacers. If going into car the alternator might hit the hood.

Theres a smaller 105 amp Alt. that bolts right on that gives about a inch from what I've found so far. I havent grabbed one yet though to compare.

Thats a slick setup but I dont think it will fit in my application. My front end is narrowed and theres 2 coilover towers under the hood straddling the engine with a brace over top.

Why? Mine fit's, everything I ever found said it DID NOT fit, hence why I posted a pic of it clearing. I'll be running mine this way.
