Default 1990 Nissan 300ZX LS1/T56 swap

Just started my LS1/T56 swap on my 90 Nissan 300ZX. So far I just have the engine hanging from the hoist and positioned in the engine compartment. I am going to remove the dash today so I can cut a hole in the firewall and tran tunnel. Cutting the FW will allow me to move the engine back another 2.5 - 3 inches allowing the shifter to come up through the factory hole. The F body pan wont work due to clearance with the powersteering rack and sway bar. So I called Canton Racing and they are going to mod one of their LS1 swap drag pans into a road racing style pan for me. I have a Painless wiring harness that should make things easier, just need to figure out what I need to do to get the factory gauges to work. I have a front motor plate, but I think its a little flimsy. I might make a more stout on or do some custom motor mounts. For headers Im going to try Jagsthatrun RX7 long tubes, because they look like they hug the motor pretty tight. I am going to have my 1 piece aluminum driveshaft cut and a T56 yoke put on it. Anyways Ill keep updating this thread as progression is made. Im open to any advice with completing this swap.

Its a street car that Im gearing more towards road course type track days. So Simplifying it and reducing weight was my main goals. Plus I just love that V8 sound. Plans are to leave it with stock cubes, probably gonna go with Fast 92 and 92mm NW throttle body, AFR 205 heads, G5X3 cam, 1 3/4 to 3 inch long tubes with full dual 3 inch exhaust all the way back, Powerbond balancer, custom serp setup to work with the motor plate, Pfadt C5 twin disk racing clutch and flywheel, MGW shifter, custom aluminum driveshaft, Autokraft rear sump oil pan. Those are the main things. I want to run a Turn One powersteering pump and a power steering cooler, thermosat controlled oil cooler, and a custom large radiator to help keep temps down at the track. Im hoping for 450rwhp and 400rwtq and a wide power band which should be plenty for a curb weight under 3000lbs. Interior will stay intact but ill switch to light weight Recaro 1 piece bucket seats and remove 35lbs of sound deadener. As far as suspension goes Im looking at KW clubsport coilovers and SPL adjustable components for everything. Brakes will be 13 inch Stoptechs at all four corners with 17X10 Enkei RPF1's all the way around with 275/40/17 tires. Still hunting around and becoming familiar with the LS world and products available, so its possible to change my mind if I come across something that I think would better suit my build. Always open to suggestions too.

Its still clean, just not a TT any more I have a 91 TT in pearl white with charcoal interior also. The stock set up is just difficult to work with especially if I want to track it.
My 91 TT and my old 90 NA 300ZX(sold it so the wife would let me buy this Z)
