Default 64 Chevelle turbo project

Finally got the turbo project done (almost). It was a heads/cam project (approx 480 hp). I put about 800 miles on last year after I got it driveable, then got bored. Started it up today, cant drive it till I get some more gas to weld in the BOV.

LS1 (approx 9.8:1 comp)
T56
12 bolt w/ 3.42 gears
E85
Aeromotive FPR (44 psi base pressure)
-8 fuel supply
-6 return
2 intank Walbro 255 ( 2nd pump on 5psi Hobbs switch)
SD 80 injectors
Comp Cam 227/223 .610/.614 115 LSA
truck heads w/ Lunati springs (home ported)
truck manifolds
2.5" hot side
Precision 39mm waste gate (12 psi spring, for now)
TC 78 w/ 1.15 A/R
3.5" downpipe to full 2.5" exhaust
LS9 head gaskets
3" cold side
Ebay 31x14x3 intercooler
LS7 clutch (for now, previously installed will change out later)

did some tuning this weekend, injectors are @ 88% duty cycle, with 16* timing and seeing almost 14 lbs of boost with a 12 lb spring installed. Apparently my wastegate is too small for 12 lbs.

I would think that wastegate is to small for any boost level with that setup.

I am lovin this build....I have a 64 with an LQ4 and TH400 that I want to turbo....Your build is answering alot of my fitment questions.

I DD mine now though so I am waiting till I have another way to get to work.

Keep posting.....More pics if you can....I would love to see more detailed pics of the hotside from underneath.

Thanks.

I saw a few similar builds get by with it, oh well I guess I'll put the 15lb spring in it

you can see most of the hotside from the pics, it's nothing too elaborate or fancy. The tough spot was the pass exhaust manifold, the #1 cyl exhaust has to make a pretty steep turn to the outlet, but I think the other cyl exhaust will help pull it through
