water and oil pressure lines
im putting a 6.0 motor in a coupe mustang,, will be carb motor,,, where's the best places to put the oil pressure and water temp line's at? i did some search,, may be using wrong words..... thanks for any help

are you talking about the line for the Gauges ? and where to mount them on the engine ?
if so..
Oil - since the PCM doesn't need the oil pressure input, you can use the location in the top back of the block. secondary location would be the oil bypass / cooler plate above the oil filter.
Water - the rear of the passenger side head, remove the plug and either a) use an adapter, b) get a sender with the correct thread size (IIRC 10mm) or c) Drill and tap for the correct threads of the sender.

For oil pressure there should be a stock location for a sending unit at the center of the engine at the rear, just below where the intake bolts to. If it's not there, there is a little plate thing on the oil pan at the rear driver's side above the oil filter. It has two bolts holding it on and may or may not have a small extended portion protruding upwards at a slight angle. If you use this, you will need to drill and tap it to 1/8" NPT

hey thanks guys,,,ive been wanting to do a swap for years on my 67 chevelle,, but instead going to do a 89 mustang,, with sbc it weigh 2460 without me,,, bczee i talk to u a long while back doing a swap on my chevelle,,,,,, thanks again guys
