Nice build.
Check your pick-up to oil pan clearance if you're still using that canton oil pan. Canton claims it will work with a stock GTO pick-up but I had that exact oil pan kill my L33 in a few hundred miles due to low oil pressure/flow.

Hey any updates on the RSS6? I read the thread for the first time today on motor geek and couldn't stop reading it lol. I've been thinking lately about putting an LS platform in my 01 S8 and was referred to your experience with this car in a forum. Then come to find out you were thinking D2 platform as well. Can't believe the amount of knowledge and ability you brought to the table with your build.

How much it cost for something like this?
LOL Im interested in that too
These are Chinese versions at $185 each brand new delivered to my door, oil only cooling. I figure "how bad can it be, they are at the back so if they explode its just a bit of shrapnel out the back of the car with zero chance of bits getting through the intercooler and all the way to the motor. I will put a filter in the oil return line JIC.
The motor is built with a 9.5:1 compression ratio so hopefully I have descent off boost performance. My goal is to start at 7psi and see what it makes, but the eventual target is 20psi.
I could be completely wrong here so please feel free to revise my guestimates. I believe the spec of this motor, if it was high compression that it would be good for up to 650 NA CHP.
From what I have seen online low boost (5-7psi) stock LS1's with zero mods are pushing out between 500 and 700rwhp depending on who you believe. (The previous motor which was just a cam only made 350AWHP on a conservative tune, bear in mind that drivetrain loss through the AWD system is somewhere between 20 and 25% as compared to 15-20% for RWD, so that leads me to thing my stock LS1 was pushing about 420-450 CHP.
I would guess that with 9.5:1 compression this motor NA should put out 550ish?
So.... The few examples I have found for higher boost (18psi) on a stock LS1 with no mods seem to be in the 750-1000RWHP range, again if I can believe them.
I think at 7-10psi I could expect to see 650AWHP and at 18-20psi I thing that would jump to 800AWHP maybe (so right around 1000CHP) (on pump gas)
Thats my guesworks, feel free to dispute and edjumacate me as this is my first boosted LS motor.
I did just make 1000lbtq at 2800rpm and 800HP flat to redline out of a twin turbo RS6 motor that is built to the hilt

Yup, it's running again Should be on the road in about a week as I have a few things to button up. Of course winter is coming in Detroit so not much road use until the spring, just enough to check things out then back on the lift over the winter for a few changes.
Here is a video I posted yesterday:
I am making part 2 of the video today and will post it up once its on Youtube.

I make an adapter to use the manual transmission with the LS engine and can do one for the automatic but figuring out the electronics for the automatic has always been a problem as no one that I know of has made a stand alone controller for that.
