Default 96 z28 lt1 to ls swap
Ok guy going to start doing the ls swap to my wife's 96 z28 and this will be a swap that both my wife and i both work on we bought a 96 z28 a year ago and have had a hell of a time with the car even staying running so we are done with the lt1 this is a a4 car and one thing i dont know about is can i use the lt1 a4 tranny in the swap? Ill post pic soon too

Yes you can use that Trans. You'll just either need a custom torque convertor or the adapter.

Who makes a adapter for the swap cuz its already has a 3600 stall in it

No adapter needed. Just the flexplate and hub spacer as Merv stated. It is just like bolting up a TH350 or TH400.

Will i got the motor and tranny out this week end i kinda did it the hard way pull tranny out first and it fell on my hand cut it up kinda bad guess thats what happen with i try doing stuff by myself lol the pull motor out the top. I want to still be able to roll the car out side to do sum clearing ill post pic tonight

I pick up the motor for the car yesterday its a 5.3 out of a pick up now all i need is some little parts on the i can kick it in gear to try to have the car done for my wifes birthday
