I cut some off the shaft on my Buick GN motor, it was hardened and I had to use a cut-off wheel. You'll prolly find the same thing with any pump...

What i have is a 73 vega with a 04 gto engine and i already cut the radiator support and moved the radiator about 2 inchs forward. I have 3 different electric fans and non will fit, maybe another inch and i might have enough room. I don't want to put it in front because i'm puting A/C in.
