Default Need Help with Cruise Control Add on 2nd Gen Camaro LSx Swap

Car is a 79 Z/28 with a built LSX engine and T56 manual transmission. I installed the cruise according to the LS1 tech thread on how to add cruise, but it doesn't work. I am requesting help from the experts. Here is what I have and how its wired...

Cruise module is: 25315088 from late 90's S10 blazer

Wiring:

A 12v + from cruise stalk On/Off switch
B 12v + from cruise stalk Set/coast switch when pressed
C 12v + from cruise stalk Resume/accel switch when pressed
D 12v + from brake/clutch switches- loses its 12v when pedals are pressed
E Grounded to chassis right next to the cruise module to frame
F 12v ignition power when key is on
G 12v + when brake pedal is pressed. Normally 0v when pedal is not pressed
H Not used
J Not used
K VSS wire. The wire comes right from the PCM and it feeds this cruise module and also is used for my Autometer electric speedometer. My Autometer programmable electric speedometer works just fine when calibrated the way autometer wants it calibrated by driving a 2 mile trip.

So what am I missing? Please Help!!!

Also I have HP tuners pro, and the PCM is a 1998 Camaro Z28 and here is what was programmed into the pcm for the VSS sensor settings according to HP tuners.

Speedometer General calibration
VSS pulses per mile = 48.070
Pulses per Rev-Trans = 17.0000

Final drive ratio
Trans Revolutions/mile = 823.2421

My Gear/Tire Calc is = 7.13 which is know is correct for my gear ratio and tire diameter

I am not sure on the other HP tuners calibration numbers as they were in the pcm prior from the 98 Z28 which the pcm and engine/trans came out of. My car now has 3.73 gears and a 26" tire. So I am unsure if the speedometer calibrations numbers and final drive ratio numbers in the pcm's memory is preventing the cruise from working?

I purchased the cruise module from an ebay seller being told it was good, but I have no way to test that it works, so that could be my problem all along, but am guessing that is not so as those modules always seem to work and not go bad really.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Any ideas anyone?

Was just thinking... The T56 transmission ppm is different from an automatics which is a 4000ppm signal. Do I need a Dakota digital interface box to make terminal K read 4000ppm instead of the T56's 48,070 signal? Is this where I went wrong?

Bumping this up because I have a 2nd gen camaro and want to find out myself when I go to install cruise like this on my engine.

What cruise switch are you using? I know some are NO or NC and when I was looking at DBW cruise you had to use relays to change the function of the switch to match the signal needed.

Not sure if thats the case here, but you never know

The DBW needs NO switch. Dakota Digital make a dash mounted NO switch. Their stalk mounted is NC and wont work. Do a quick seach here. There's a guy selling converted stalk, screw mounted switches that will work.

Thanks, I have a dakota digital NC switch, I was going to use in a DBW set up with a couple of relays to change it over NO.

But I since decided to go with DBC and converting my harness over and adding a cable driven TB (PCM too)

So I will need to add a cruise module, will the dakota digital NC switch work as is with a factory GM cruise module?

No, but DD sells aftermarket cruise control modules that work with their switch.

Thanks, I just don't want to give $280 for a DD set-up when I can buy a factory cruise box for less than $50 that would work if I can go that route. Trying to save some money here lol

**Update**

I am going to try another cruise module this weekend to see if that fixes my problem. All my wiring is good and works, and I have a VSS signal speed on my HP Tuners when driving down the road, so I am gonna try the module.

As for the cruise stalk.. I am using the Dakota digital HND-3 with relays wired up properly to convert the signals from NC to a NO switch. I have power when pressing the buttons as I should, and no power at the wires when they are not pressed, so they are wired up properly.
