Mounting ECU 1970 Chevelle with an LS2 and a speartech harness with extra length.
I want to mount the ECU to the top of my glove box under the dash. Will the computer overheat or will it be fine?
I am test fitting the after market AC duct work and trying to figure out where the ECU should go. This place seems like it will work good.

I figured it would be ok. I just know heat is a killer for computers.
As long as the heat sinks are up can the flat side of the computer touch the top of the glove box? I do have the plastic carrier the computer came with and that would allow some space between the two with some heavy modification.

I would think that it would not hurt anything since the Glove box is cardboard.
But would also think that the plastic holder almost isolates the PCM from touching anyhthing.. with that being said.. I would try and keep it isolated from touching anything other than what the OEM holder touches (or the same area or part), if possible.
